Shock and Unconsciousness

Shock controls consciousness. A survivor can be unconscious without being dead.

What to do
Remove the immediate threat. Check and stop bleeding. Protect the unconscious survivor from further damage. Wait for recovery while addressing the cause. Use medical items only for a known reason.
How it works
Combat, impacts and blood loss can produce shock damage. The useful field rule is to treat the cause, not to assume that every unconscious player needs the same item.
