2012: Arma 2 mod. 2013: standalone Early Access. 2018: 1.0. Livonia, then Frostline / Sakhal. 2025: record player counts, PS Plus spike, Badlands (Nasdara) revealed as a 2026 expansion. Community still shipping tens of thousands of mods.
2026
April: DayZ 2 EU trademark chatter. 1.29 and a 'DayZ in 2026' blog. June: DayZ Unite Prague confirms DayZ 2. Summer: Badlands dev blogs (rebuilding, Lee-Enfield, dust, wells). Badlands itself still aimed at 2026 across platforms.
How to use this
If someone says 'DayZ 2 is out this year,' send them here. If they mean Nasdara, they might be right. If they mean the sequel, they are mixing the two games.
