The camera is the rule
Short answer
1PP is not a graphics setting. It is how corners work. Third person is a different fight.

How it works
First person hides what third person peeks. Stairwells get ruder. Titles usually say 1PP or 3PP.
What to do
If Levi queued 1PP, Kane does not complain about the camera in the first barn.
