DayZ 2 is a sequel. Badlands is a paid expansion for the live game. Do not mash the names.

What we know
Bohemia confirmed a sequel at DayZ Unite in Prague (June 2026). Separately, Badlands / Nasdara is DLC for current DayZ. One does not cancel the other.
What to do
Play the live game. Wishlist Badlands if you want the desert. Treat DayZ 2 pages as a thin sequel book.

Don't title a rumour 'DayZ 2 Badlands map' as if that were a product.
