Glossary

DayZ + Misfitz slang so new chat doesn’t get lost.

• Bambify

  Dying so hard you lose character progress and start over as a freshie.

• Base

  Player-built walls, tents, barrels — home until someone raided it.

• Calm fun

  The stream vibe: prepared enough to survive, silly enough to smile.

• Coastal tax

  The almost-guaranteed death or loot loss that greets new spawns on the coast.

• Extract energy

  The rush of almost making it out alive with the loot still on you.

• Freshie

  Brand-new spawn with almost no gear. Bare feet, big dreams, coastal tax pending.

• Friendly

  Someone claiming peace. Trust, but keep angles. Or don’t trust.

• Gear fear

  Playing too safe because your kit is good. Levi manages it; Kane ignores it.

• Infected

  Zombies. Loud, grabby, and excellent at ruining stealth.

• KO

  Knocked out — unconscious, not dead yet. Window to save or finish.

• Loadout

  Your kit — guns, meds, food, tools. Levi double-checks it.

• Misfitz

  Always with a Z. Never Misfits with an S. The whole brand.

• NWAF

  North West Airfield — high-tier military loot, high-tier danger.

• Raided

  Base cracked open by others. Check locks, log walls, and morale.

• Server hop

  Switching servers for loot or friends. Rules vary — know the box.

• Third party

  Someone who joins a fight they didn’t start — usually for free loot.

• Tisy

  Northern military base. Long walk, big rewards, bigger fights.

• VOIP

  In-game voice. Great for squad calls and accidental screams.
